Some paint was needed to get the frame all the same colour, so I coated it in two thin layers of matt black (that's all that was needed) to match the outer shell. It's a shame Cooler Master doesn't do this itself.

Despite being mostly black, I didn't like the top down design of the Cooler Master V8 and its red LEDs, so that also needed a makeover to fit the theme. As such, another piece of blue aluminum was cut and bent to fit with the same bar and clamp method of before. It was simple enough to cover the uglier elements without compromising the airflow.

Now for some hardware goodness. Asus kicked in with a wonderful Rampage II Extreme X58 motherboard and Sapphire made sure that no games would lag with not one, but two Radeon HD 5850 graphics cards. Things were getting better by the minute.

Intel provided two Core i7-920s (the other one is for an upcoming build) and later dropped off a Core i7-980X as well. I also received a pair of X25-M G2 80GB SSDs and a DX58SO motherboard - which will also be used for the upcoming build as well.

Finally the kit was rounded off with Kingston adding a 6GB kit of 2,000MHz HyperX DDR3.
